The Story
While cashmere is traditionally crafted in thin layers due to its inherent warmth, we engineered this piece as a substantially thicker alternative to combat the harsh realities of the Icelandic winter. Hand-finished in our Reykjavík atelier, this unisex piece provides a level of protection significantly warmer than typical cashmere hats available globally. Built for enduring, reliable performance, it has been rigorously tested in extreme sub-zero climates spanning Iceland, Greenland, Norway, and Northern Canada.
The Design
By using a generous amount of certified, ethically sourced pure cashmere, we created a dense knit that provides complete wind protection. Despite its thickness, the design features a spacious, flexible silhouette tailored to rest lightly on the head, avoiding the tight fit of conventional winter hats. Because it is crafted without a synthetic lining, the natural cashmere fibers remain exceptionally breathable, delivering profound warmth alongside continuous ventilation.
